1. What OffLeashMap is

OffLeashMap is a free, ad-supported directory of off-leash dog parks in the United States. We compile location data, hours, and editorial commentary about dog parks. We are not affiliated with the parks themselves, the cities or counties that operate them, or any veterinary, training, or insurance provider mentioned.

2. Accuracy and disclaimers

We try to keep our park data accurate, but reality changes faster than our updates. Parks close, fences go down, water fountains break, hours change. Do not rely on this site as your sole source of truth. Before driving somewhere, verify with the operating municipality, especially for hours and access status.

Editorial commentary on each park is our honest opinion based on available data and, where possible, in-person observation. It is not professional advice. Your experience may differ.

Our guide articles — on heat safety, vaccinations, etiquette, and similar topics — are general information, not veterinary, legal, or medical advice. For specific decisions about your dog's health or behavior, consult a qualified professional.

3. Leash law content

Our state-by-state leash-law summaries are educational, not legal advice. Laws change. Cities and counties have their own ordinances. If you are facing a specific legal situation involving your dog, consult a licensed attorney.

4. Use of the site

You may freely browse, read, and link to OffLeashMap. You may not:

• Scrape the site at high volume or use automated agents that disrupt service.
• Republish our editorial content (one-liners, descriptions, guide articles) without permission.
• Use OffLeashMap to harass anyone or defame any business or park.
• Pretend to be us, copy our branding, or claim affiliation we haven't granted.

5. Featured listings (paid placements)

Local businesses can pay for featured listings on city pages. Featured listings are clearly labeled. We do not change which public parks we recommend based on payment — those decisions are editorial. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any featured listing for any reason.

6. Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links — primarily for pet insurance providers and pet retailers. If you click and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These affiliations do not influence the editorial content of the directory.

7. Liability — read this

OffLeashMap is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Injuries to you, your dog, or anyone else at a park we list.
• Disputes, bites, or property damage involving you or your dog at a listed park.
• Inaccurate hours, addresses, or amenity information.
• Decisions you make based on our editorial content or guide articles.
• Actions, services, or products of any business we link to or list as featured.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of OffLeashMap is limited to $0 (we provide the site free).

8. Third-party links

OffLeashMap contains links to third-party sites (the parks' official pages, Google Maps, pet insurance providers, etc.). We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

9. Intellectual property

The OffLeashMap name, branding, editorial commentary, and guide articles are our intellectual property. The park data itself (names, addresses, hours, Google ratings) is factual information; we organize and present it but don't claim ownership of underlying facts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent meaningful change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms apply to users of OffLeashMap regardless of location. Any disputes will be handled informally first via email; if unresolved, they are subject to the jurisdiction where the site operator is then established.
